Farida has over 25 years’ experience in the financial advisory sector with her currently being the CEO and shareholder of Al Afiyah Wealth Management Services. Al Afiyah currently has over 2500 active investment clients for who she provides guidance and financial advice to – her total asset under management is just over R650million with her monthly target for new investments between R25million and R40million into the fund.

She started her career in the financial sector in 1994 as a manager in the medical lifestyle claims department at Liberty Life and then she progressed to be a manager of Standard Bank Contact Centre managing a team of customer service representatives.

She also held senior positions at Swissgarde and Channel Islam International in the customer service, marketing and sales divisions.

Farida will be responsible for managing the broker and client network as well as the onboarding of clients onto the Rihlat Platform. The broker network will consist of over 28 brokers with CAT 1 Licenses who advises more than 8,000 clients.

Farida will be part of the executive team of the GP and be responsible for client and broker liaison and be head of marketing of the fund.
